As you can see from the ratings, this is truly one of the best pork bbq recipes. It's easy and fool proof. I usually add a few fresh crushed garlic to this. Also, be sure to spoon some broth over the meat when cooking it in the oven in the final step. I have even used this same exact recipe to make ribs and pulled chicken.

This is the first time I have ever made barbecue and my third time using my slow cooker. Definitely the best slow cooker recipe I have tried to far and super easy. We had dinner for 4 and I had enough for lunch for several days using a 4 lbs pork butt. Thanks!

Didn't think something this simple would taste this good! Followed the recipe exactly except for using butt cut (sorry...juvenile but I couldn't resist!). Used Sweet Baby Rays Hickory & Brown Sugar bbq sauce. Might try a few drops of liquid smoke added to the beef broth the next time...but it was delicious just as is. Thanks for sharing!

This was DELICIOUS!! My whole family loved it! And it was incredibly easy. I couldn't get pork ribs at the grocery store so I used a pork roast instead. Instead of cooking on high for 4 hours, I set it to low all day because I wasn't going to be home until supper and it turned out great! I will certainly be making this frequently!

Turned out good. Tasted the same as if you would of only used bbq sauce. I see no need for the broth.

Turned out really great! Will make again! I cooked the meat overnight and then ran out of time in the morning to shred it so I think having it cool in the fridge made it tougher to shred. It was a little too salty as well. Very yummy though.

I think if I lived anywhere else in the country, I would've appreciated this more. But being in North Carolina, we're used to a more vinegar-based sauce. This was still really good! Not what I was looking for, but really good, and super easy.

I am sure my family and I will be having this for years and years. Thanks a bunch for this one! p.s I love Sweet Baby Rays and would never use any other bbq sauce, for anything. All of you that have not tried it, its a must!

This was good and simple. Tip: If you want to make it for two, you need only 1lb. of pork, and even that leaves leftovers. The pork will cook in about two hours instead of 4. Also, be choosy about the type of BBQ sauch you use. It's really the main taste of this dish so you should be aware of which you prefer; hickory, honey, etc. Great recipe.

I'm already making this a 2nd time, so simple and so good! I didn't have beef broth the first, so I used powderedbeef broth soup mixed with water. I still forgot the beef broth, so tonight I'm using chicken stock. Hope it turns out as well. Oh, and I also got the Sweet Ray's sauce. Yum!!

I LOVE this recipe! It is so practical! I like to cook it on LOW for 7-8 hours so that I can have it cook while I'm at work. When I get home, I shred it, pop it in the oven, and in 30 minutes, it's ready! Thanks for this great recipe!

Wow! Was this good and super simple. I loved the taste that came from baking it in the oven. I think baking it causes the sugars in the sauce to caramlize? I did bake mine a bit hotter (400 degrees). I also used a pork butt roast, which was pretty fatty, but was able to pick out much of it before baking it. I used Annie's BBQ sauce which I think are wonderful.
