The only substitution I made was I used a pork tenderloin instead of the rubs. It was good and very tender. It was not outstanding though.

Sooo good! I used a 7 lb, trimmed bone-in pork butt, cooked it on low for 9 hrs and went easy on the bbq and set a bottle of sauce out in case people wanted more.

This was AMAZING! I did it a little differently from the instructions. After cooking it in the crock pot, I shredded it in a separate bowl, emptied the broth out of the crock pot, then put the shredded pork back in the crock pot with a smidge of liquid smoke and the BBQ sauce until the rest of the meal was ready. That turned out well, and I didn't have to fire up the oven.

This recipe turned out pretty good. I used a can of beer in place of broth. I would probably not do that again. I also left it in the oven a little too long. But over all my family liked it and it was easy.

I made 4 lbs of pork butt in the crock pot for 10 hours, it came out a little too tender. I served it on home made buns and it was delishious! I added some boars head horse radish sauce and that made it awsome!!! I highly reccomend horse radish on the side with this.

Used a nice hunk of Pork Shoulder for this.. and it was delicious. Made one revision-- added some thinly chopped onion to the pot. Was so yummy, will definitely make again!

The reviews are right. This is a simple and wonderful recipe. We fixed 100 lbs. for our son’s wedding and the guests gobbled it up. I already had pork loins, bought pork butt to go with them and used cooking bags in the oven to help speed the time up. Next time I will use all pork butts as the recipe calls for. Thanks KMB233, this is a keeper for sure

SOOOO good! I followed the recipe exactly as it said and used a really good smokey barbecue sauce from trader joes. definitely a good choice. I served them on whole wheat buns that were slightly toasted and very lightly buttered with carrots and sharp cheddar kettle chips and it was so good! It keeps well in the fridge and can be heated up by the microwave and still taste very good too! thanks!

I made this with a pork loin roast and Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. This recipe could not have been simpler. Absolutely delicious.

This was absolutely delicious! I used a pork roast because it was cheaper and shredded so easily when it was done. It made my job easier. I seasoned it a little with garlic powder, onion powder and pepper. We used Bull's Eye BBQ sauce and these sandwiches were amazing! This is my Husband's new favorite.

I used pork rib roast and used beer as the liquid rather than beef broth per other's suggestion. Fabulous!

This recipe is so easy, and super yummy! Instead of ribs, I use either a pork shoulder or butt and it falls apart when finished.
