Loved the simpleness of this recipe and was so good. Best pulled pork recipe so far!

Easy, good recipe. We added some extra spices and chilis to bump up the flavor- the hardest part is deciding on a BBQ sauce... then let the slow cooker do the work!

I always follow the recipe exactly the first time I make something, and this recipe did not disapoint! It was very simple and my fiance and friends thought it to be better than most restaurants they've had pulled pork at! I used pork butt and the sweet baby rays bbq sauce, which I did not find to be too sweet (although I tend to like my sauce on the sweet side). I will definitely be making this again in the future, and may play with the ingredients a bit, but it is great as is

We give this a four only because we added some things...but this was a great base to start. We added the beef broth but only had a 10 ounce can, so we added a couple shakes of liquid smoke and about half a bottle of hickory smoke A-1. Put it in the crock pot for fours hours and followed the instructions the rest of the way. It was AMAZING!!!! I would give the meal that came out 5 stars, but because we didn't stick to the recipe exact, I gave it 4...hope that makes sense.

Great recipe! I ended up using pork butt and some boneless ribs I found at the last minute. I also ended up straining off most of the liquid and adding in another bottle of sauce to make it thicker in consistency.

I can't believe how easy and delicious this was...just use your favorite bbq sauce and use the amount that suits your personal taste. There are some good sauce recipes on this site - I will definately make this again. It freezes well too.

This was certainly very easy! Although somewhat bland, the meat was tender. As others suggested, I used a pork butt instead of ribs and cooked it on low for about 10 hours. It rendered a LOT of fat. I refrigerated it overnight and easily removed the fat after it hardened. Instead of bottled, I used a homemade ketchup/vinegar/brown sugar/ground mustard, etc. BBQ sauce recommended by a previous reviewer. Maybe the bottled would have been better. I wound up having to do a lot of adding/adjusting of ingredients to get the taste right. I had to thicken the sauce a bit with about 1/4 c. of instant potatoes. This was also probably the result of my using the butt roast instead of ribs. All in all, this is a good starter recipe that can be adapted to individual tastes.

I have made this twice so far. The only change I made was adding some minced garlic and pepper to the slow cooker and I used chicken broth because that's all I had in the house. The prok I used was marinated in garlic and onion marinade. Also I cooked the pork for almost 6 1/2 hours just because I wasn't home all day. Served it on kaiser rolls and it was just as amazing as the first time I made it! The prok literally melts apart after you take it out of the slow cooker to shred. Delish!

Although my husband initially complained about the smell of the pork cooking, there were certainly no complaints once the sandwiches were ready and he took that first bite. This was so easy to make, feeds an army if you use a shoulder cut, is really inexpensive on a per serving basis, and turns out to be really tasty. Thanks for the advice on Sweet Baby Ray's sauce. That and the Hawaiian bread rolls made for an even more delectable combo!

The best. The only thing I changed was that I added a bottle of beer I had in the fridge. I cooked this in the crock one day, shredded and refrigerated until the next day. I knew by how tender it was when it shredded that it was going to be a keeper. Plus, it tasted great even before the bbq sauce. Served with a cole slaw recipe from this site. Great, EASY dinner. Thank you!

The only reason I gave it four was for the other reviews THAT OVERWHELMED ME!:) My husband always says Keep it simple. I read and read and then doubted. I used country style boneless pork. I followed the recipe as written. Awesome! I agree that the right cut of meat is imperative. I think the lemon is important as well. Helps tenderize the meat. Just don't get overwhelmed by all the reviews just follow it and you will not be dissapointed.

Had these ready for trick or treat night and they were great. They were so easy. I used more BBQ sauce than called for because it was really absorbed in the meat. I also used a pork shoulder roast and it worked fine.

I liked this beacuse it is hard to find good crock recipes. When I put it in the crock pot I layered the bottome with red onion. I added garlic, salt and pepper worteshire sauce a dash of liquid smoke and a can of coke. left on low all day then shredded and used origianl sweet baby rays. Had over potatoe buns and coleslaw. was very good

This was awesome and very easy to make. I followed the suggestions of some of the other members and cooked a pork shoulder in the crock pot with the beef broth. Then mixed it with some of the left over cooking liquid and the (sweet and tangy BBQ sauce) recipe from this site the next day and warmed it up in the crock pot on high for about 2 hours. Again this was very very good and easy to do, this will be a regular addition to my summer menu.
