I made this for dinner last night and it was pretty easy to make. The meat was tender with a nice flavor because of the beef broth, the bbq sauce was easy to stir in and gave it a great flavor as well. So everything was great until... I put it in the oven and it dried up. I had to add a bit more bbq sauce to make it a bit juicier, so that's why I'm giving it 4 stars.

Absolutely awesome!! I followed the advice of other reviewers and bought a 4 lb. pork butt. Th meat turned out great and cost under $4.00. I followed the recipe only adding a little chopped onion for flavor and about 1/2 can of beer to help tenderlize the meat. I am making this for dinner tonight, my boyfriend and I just sampled the meat and it is sooo good! I recommend trying this recipe and I know I will be making it again!!

My husband is from Georgia - he's a BBQ fanatic. He described this pork as "divine". I chose Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ sauce - I know my husband prefers a more vinegar-based sauce, but it's all I had. Even still, the pork was fantastic. Left overs were just as wonderful the next day, right out of the fridge. By the way, I used 2 pounds of bone-in baby back ribs. That's all my butcher had, but it worked out beautifully.

super simple yet delicious! Added 2 tbs vinager to the beef broth, as we like vinager based bbq and followed the suggestion to leave the meat in the crock pot and thicken the sauce by removing lid and cooking on low for a couple hours. Great for those with little time who want to serve a "real" meal at suppertime :)

Loved this! I used leaner, very thick, loin chops and added some finely chopped onion. Slow cooked on low for only 4-1/2 hours. I served it on fresh French-bread rolls with Provolone, dill pickle slices, mustard and a side of creamy, red-skin potato salad, fresh pineapple and cottage cheese, and an apple crisp drizzled with icing for an outstanding lunch. Oh YUM! Thank you, for an easy and delicious recipe, KMB233 and AR's cook Celeste, for being so helpful for sugggesting the perfect recipe, for what I was looking for. =)

Wowser! Only differences were I used a Honey BBQ Sauce and Country Style ribs that were steamed over a rack in an electric skillet to an internal temp of 160 in less than an hour. After shredding, pork was put into the slow cooker w/broth while side dishes were prepared. Went great with "Anytime Fruit Salad" as a wonderful taste contrast.

Came out a little bland. It needs a little something spicy in there. Make sure you use a QUALITY bbq sauce.
