We always make baby back ribs but decided to try the country ribs. This was easy to make and I agree with others that the lemon really does add a lot to the dish. All said I done - we prefer the baby backs and will use this recipe cutting back on the cooking time when I am in a rush. Really did enjoy that lemon flavor in it! Thanks submitter.

These were pretty good. Next time I'll season the ribs more and sear then before I out them in the oven. Also, these taste much better the next day.

excellent recipe..... I modified it by mother's standards, use what you you have and improvise! ADD! I used the 350degree recipe for first 2 hours, then 250 for an additional 30 minutes. I also used a cheap bottle of yuck bbq sauce I had left looking lonely in the fridge, added 1oz of liquid smoke, 1tbs brown (not packed) sugar, and shook the heck out of the bottle of bbq. This way, the ribs were sticky good. stock up on the paper towels. WOW, best ribs I've had in quite awhile. Don't scrimp on the fresh lemon with this one......better really is BETTER. The best for indoor oven bbq..... Ronnie

This recipe is the best! I did add a thin layer of water to the bottom of the roasting pan with a small amount of Liquid Smoke. I didn't have any lemons, but will use them the next time.

I cooked the ribs exactly as stated. I just did a different sauce. I wouldn't change the cooking method at all. They came out very tender.

Absolutely the best ever! Falling off the bone tender and super moist and tasty! Followed the recipe with the exception of time/temp. Baked for 1 1/2 hrs at 325 and another 40 min. at 250 after adding the BBQ sauce.

We love this recipe...ribs are tender, moist and flavorful! I too, cover mine with foil for the first two hours. A great recipe to use often as the country style ribs are always reasonably priced!

Great ribs, but instead of lemon, I use vinegar, just poured over the ribs.

I have two a 4 and a 5 y/o that I have a hard time getting them to eat meat of any kind. I did this recipe and they LOVED it! The meat (as they said) was juicy and tender, not chewy. It was so good! Just like it melt in your mouth! I love that it is so easy. With the two kids it's hard to cook a good hot meal like this one! I love that you just put it in the oven and walk away for a few hours! Very tasty and made the house smell great!! Thank you; I finally have something that they love!!

Good Lord these ribs were awesome! Everyone in my house loved them. I had 2 pans so I cooked them at 325 for 2 hours covered with aluminum foil. After 2 hours I drained the juice and covered the ribs with BBQ sauce. I turned the temp down to 275 and left the foil on for another 30 minutes. I then removed the foil for 20 minutes to let the sauce thicken. So a total of 2 hours and 50 minutes. The ribs fell off the bone! I also used tenderizer, minced garlic, fresh lemon (which I squeezed over the ribs) and sliced onions. Oh, I did not add water. If you use the right ribs and keep them covered, you should not have a problem with dry ribs. The amount of juice that I had to drain was more than plenty to make a gravy.

very good..per suggestions of other reviewers, covered ribs for most of cooking time...don't omit lemon, strange, but it really adds a subtle taste to the ribs that is really delicious. used jack daniels's hickory brown sugar barbeque sauce..really good.

I followed the cooking times exactly, but found it to be tough and not the fall off the bone kind like I like. I noticed alot of people increased the cooking temperature. I probably should have too because I was really disappointed. Maybe it was the meat itself. Next time I think I would try the crock pot. I seem to have the best luck with it.
