I thought this was good. My family enjoyed it but I thought it was a little on the dry side. I think next time I make it, I'll use a little more BBQ sauce and maybe some sliced tomatoes would be tasty.

These were so delicious and extremely easy to make. We thought the mozzarella would be a bit bland so we did a 3 cheese mix with colby, montery jack, and cheddar. The cilantro was amazingly good on it, I added extra. I also poached my chicken in the morning and then put it in the slow cooker for about 3 hours with a 1/2cup water, 1/2 cup ketchup, 3 tablespoons brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of butter, 1 tablespoon vinegar, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp worcestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp dry mustard, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and a pinch of ground black pepper. It was outstanding!!

There wasn't enough dough to make a calzone, so I made mini-pizzas instead.

These were pretty tasty, but it felt like they were missing something. Maybe a little more spice to it? Or perhaps a stronger cheese like colby or monterey? Overall, I thought it was great though.

UPDATE: Since initially trying this, I have made it many, many times. I use the WalMart Brand Pizza Dough mix you add water too and Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, I also add some chopped onion before baking, I really think that the cilantro adds an extra dimension to the calzone and shouldn't be omitted (unless of course you don't like it). I have also brushed the crust with butter spread before baking with excellent results. This is an AR fave.6/17/2007:These are delicious and so easy. I made "minis" for a bridal shower and everyone raved. The beauty of this recipe is you can you use whatever ingredients you like (try turkey kielbasa with green peppers, onions, pizza sauce, and fresh basil); the one suggestion I would make is to saute garlic in a pan and brush over calzones before baking, I have also found the cooking time to be a little excessive.

This recipe is great! I added garlic, green bell peppers and chunks of mozzarella cheese to the inside mixture and it was excellent.

This is a good recipe, but not great. You could spread the chicken mixture on rolls if you are lacking pizza crust.

YUMMMMMMMMY! I made this for my family tonight and it was loved by all! I used homemade dough and BBQ sauce (I try to use as little jarred/canned foods as possible). I also used Monterey Jack cheese because I thought it would be more complimentary than mozzarella... The calzones were awesome! Thank you for sharing!

The only thing that I would change the next time that I make these is that I would leave out the bacon. The bacon was too overpowering in flavor, besides that a very good and very easy to make.

These were between a 3 and a 4. I think I used more cheese perhaps. I think if I made it the way it said it would have come out better. Liked it with the cilantro. Possibly make again. Dipped in a combo of BBQ sauce and blue cheese dressing.

Wow! My family loved these. The cilantro makes these so tasty, and the refrigerated pizza dough makes them as simple as 1-2-3!

My family can't stop talking about these! My picky eater gobbled it up. I always use my own pizza dough when the recipe calls for a store-bought dough. I added extra sauce with the chicken and on top. Prefect!

Amazing! Great great flavor. Just like the BBQ Chicken Aussie Pies I used to buy from the market. This one goes in the recipe box! Next time I'll try turkey bacon for a lower fat version.

I thought this was average...did what other users suggested- added extra bacon, cheese and bbq sauce. Easy to prepare. I like the concept and will probably make again..but will play with the ingredients.
