This is fantastic! As others have done, I added 2 teaspoons of brown sugar, salt and pepper. That seemed to give it a little more flavor. It is a little hard to tell when it is done. Don't bother to stick a toothpick in it like you would a cake. It firms up a little after removing from the oven. I took mine out of the oven, and shook it to see how much it jiggled. The less it moves, the more it is done. Also watch for some slight cracking on the surface. The browning on top isn't a very good way to tell if it is done or not.

Wow this was sooooo good! I would say it takes about 50-55 minutes. The middle was still a little mushy.

This is so easy and so good. I cut back a little on the butter and used low fat sour cream. It was still delicious. Will make again.

Delicious! I added a little bit of sugar and also some baking powder/baking soda (because I used corn meal flour). I also used just a little less butter/margarine than the recipe called for. Unlike some people, I didn't have a dryness issue. The casserole turned out pretty moist (I didn't add any extra liquid like others suggested). Thanks for the recipe!

Yummy! I didn't have sour cream so I used a cup of cottage cheese and it turned out great. This one really is awesome!

I use Cope's Corn instead of the creamed corn. For those of you not familiar with it, Cope's is a dried, cracked corn that is usually boiled or soaked before you use it. It was a perennial favorite in Ohio where I grew up. Cope's corn is already pre-sweetened, so I use plain corn meal instead of the cornbread mix. The flavor of Cope's is unique, and I think it really makes this recipe pop! Using Cope's makes the recipe a bit more work, but it's definitely worth it.

The title says it all! It got rave reviews from all who tasted! I did take the recommendations from others: 1/2 stick butter, 1 egg, only a little of juice from whole kernel corn, and 1/2 can of chopped green chilis. The outside cooked quicker than the middle (@ 375), but it was still tasty with the inside a little gooey. Will definitely make again, and have shared the recipe!

I made it as is.......the only thing I changed was to add an extra 1/4 cup of water since the batter seemed a tad dry.

I had high hopes for this recipe, but it ended up too dry despite my having added a can of chopped chilies (very wet) and having drained only some of the water off the kernel corn. Perhaps I will try again with 1/2 the cornbread mix. This had more of a feel of dressing, which I wasn't expecting.

This was quick and easy and delicious. I reduced the sour cream and butter because my dessert that night was heavy. (I also was able to subsitute the corn bread mix with corn meal. I added baking soda/baking powder because it wasn't a mix.) Really great recipe! Thank you!

Always goes fast at thanksgiving. I gave this 5 stars because it is good the way it is but its a great base recipe, I have added diced tomatoes and green chillies once, and sauteed onion another time.

I've been making this recipe for about 6 years and my dad requests it every holiday. My family and friends love it. I add 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese and about 6 strips of cooked and crumbled bacon just for flavor and textural difference. For those saying it had too much corn in it....uh it's corn casserole! Was it supposed to taste like spinach?

This was exactly as the title says -- Easy and Awesome! The first time I made it, it was more like a dry pudding, but the hubby said he wanted it to be more like corn bread, so I used more of the corn bread mix and it was just as great!

EVERYTIME I MAKE THIS RECIPE, IT'S A HIT. I MAKE IT WITH 2 CANS OF CREAMED CORN ONLY. NOT 1 OF CREAM AND 1 WHOLE CORN.

I tried this recipe out 4 years ago, and my whole family loved it. I am now required to make this dish every thanksgiving. I usually double the recipe and it takes approx. 15 minutes longer than stated on the recipe. I also use light sour cream and it tastes just fine. Last year I went a little crazy and added shredded cheddar cheese and it was sooo yummmmm! Great recipe!
