A perfect fit for our holiday dinner. Agree with those who recommended baking longer and adding chillies/pimentos for color.

I didn't want to make this on Thanksgiving as I have had only bad experiences trying something for the first time on a holiday-now I wish I had! I made this the day after to go with turkey leftovers, and it was great! Simple, creamy, and delicious-the perfecdt side dish.

Great results! The only change I made was to top the casserole with bread crumbs. It reminds me of a corn-oyster casserole my mom used to make. This should prove adaptable if I ever want to add to it -- though I can't imagine why I would want to mess with perfection!

I made this recipe yesterday, and it was excellent! Everyone enjoyed it. It is a keeper! The only thing I had to do differently was to cook it longer. Turned out great....thank you!

I made this to go with our Thanksgiving dinner and it was a hit. I will definately make it again. I added a big tablespoon full of brown sugar to make it sweet. Other than that, I didn't change a thing!

This was awesome! I made exactly as directed except for sprinkling chopped green onions on the top. I thought about adding some shredded cheddar but didn't, and am glad because it didn't need it! I did have to bake it about 15 minutes longer than the instructions though, but possibly due to using an 8" X 8" instead of a 9" X 9"

I also made this for Turkey Day and it was fabulous! I think I will take the suggestion of one reviewer and add a little of the water from the kernel corn since I like my casseroles just a little wetter... followed this to a T and it was great!

made it for thanksgiving yesterday and it went in a flash, everyone loved it. i added 1/2 of the water from the whole corn as suggested by others because i wanted it soft. It was, and it was delicious. I also added a little diced sweet red pepper (from a jar) just for color. a definite keeper recipe and it is now being sent to all my sisters to add to their collections. cook time was accurate for me. thanks for this easy, awesome recipe!!

This recipe was wonderful and got great reviews from my family. It did take an extra twenty minutes to cook, but I had it in a bowl since I didn't have a 9 x 9 pan.

The flavor was good but the corn seemed to be overwhelmed by the corn bread. Did follow the recipe without any changes.

Huge hit at thanksgiving dinner. I doubled the recipe (except for the butter, kept that at 1/2 cup) and baked in a 9x13 pan for about an hour. Fantastic.

I made this casserole as part of my Thanksgiving dinner. It was very easy to make and tasted great! Instead of using a 9x9 pan, I used two 8' rounds. I made one pan directly from the recipe (for my sister) and one pan with 1/4 tsp. onion powder and 1/4 of a bell pepper (for my mom and me). Both of them turned out great! I will definitely make this again!

This is sooooo yummy! I used I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and 1/2 light sour cream + 1/2 full fat sour cream. I had to double the recipe for thanksgiving (feeding more than 6 people). Enjoy!!

I tried this out the other day as a practice run before preparing a lot for Thanksgiving guests. My only change was less butter (1/4 cup) and I used lite sour cream. My husband, who usually says merely that something "tastes good," was downright ecstatic! He had three helpings and made me promise I would make it again, "just like this." It was what you call a winner - and a big batch will be on my Thanksgiving table. It is in the oven now!

This is fantastic! As others have done, I added 2 teaspoons of brown sugar, salt and pepper. That seemed to give it a little more flavor. It is a little hard to tell when it is done. Don't bother to stick a toothpick in it like you would a cake. It firms up a little after removing from the oven. I took mine out of the oven, and shook it to see how much it jiggled. The less it moves, the more it is done. Also watch for some slight cracking on the surface. The browning on top isn't a very good way to tell if it is done or not.
