Our grandson calls this 'bone soup' because I make it with Thanksgiving turkey bones! The recipe for slickers--half dumplings, half egg noodles-- comes from my grandmother.

A great citrus brine recipe. This will leave your Turkey very moist. You could also use it on other poultry in smaller amounts. 

Fish Stock

Buy firm flesh fish, with bones, to make this multipurpose fish stock. Cod, scrod, and halibut are good choices. Use as a base for soups, sauces, and gravies.
