I put carrots and potatoe in the bottom of the crockpot. Everything turned out lovely. We've had it twice in three weeks. I usually find meat in the crockpot reminds me of boiled meat but not so in this case. Don't be afraid to try this one.

My husband always says my pot roast is his favorite, but after making it this way I will never make it another way again. The gravey was wonderful!

I used golden mushroom soup and added cut-up potatoes as I knew I wouldn't have time to fix them later. I removed the potatoes & mashed them-my 3 yr old loved them. There's plenty of gravy. Very good.
