Awesome recipe! I put garlic cloves into slits in the beef for more flavor. I also took another reviewers advice with 2 packages of onion soup mix, potatoes, and I added broccoli. It was so good, me and my boyfriend ate the whole thing in one sitting!

Absolutely the best! My new favorite!!!This was a definite keeper at my house. The only things I did diffrent is seasoned the meat with lots of Montreal steak seasoning and then browned it very good on all sides first. Also added a cup of sliced fresh mushrooms a couple of hours before it was done. The seasoning made the meat very flavorful. What an easy and yummy dinner.

I thought this recipe lacked flavor. Boy friend and parents liked the roast beef.

This recipe was a family favorite! I did add potatoes, carrots, onions, mushrooms, garlic, and corn. Very easy, especially for mom's with lots to do! This will be a regular meal in our house. Thank you!

I'm surprised this has such a high rating. Maybe with additions others stated in the reviews it would be okay but stated and the roast was terribly bland. I hope I can find a recipe to salvage the flavourless leftover beef, there is a lot of it.

I thought my mom made an awesome roast beef... but this one is even better than hers (shhh, don't tell her I said that!) I made this for the kids, hubbie and in-laws and everyone loved it, even the picky two-year-old. After reading reviews I added a pkg of dry onion soup mix and 1/2 cup of water, and also onions, potatoes and carrots to the crock pot and left it on low for about seven hours. The sauce turned into a nice gravy. I used an eye of round roast, and the meat came out so tender and moist, I will DEFINITELY be making this one again.

I had a two pound tip sirloin roast. I added 1 pkg dry onion soup mix, a cup of fresh sliced mushrooms, 2 mushroom soup cans, 1 can of beef broth, fresh sliced onions.. It turned out just perfect. The roast does not slice like a traditional roast by any means as it came out so tender. Total cook time for my 2 lb = 7.5 hours on low. The gravy is EXCELLENT & goes great with mashed potatoes & yorkies! I will definitely keep this recipe, thank you for sharing =)

I followed the recipe... I ended up cooking the roast on low 10 hours and it was not as tender as I thought it would be. The meat did not have a lot of flavor but the gravy was pretty good. I really should have went with the reviews and should have added onion soup mix, carrots, potatoes and onions. I think the package of onion soup mix would have helped it a lot. On the recipe as is...I would not make it again.

I thought this was just ok, it depends on the cut of roast that you buy. I definitely have learned that you need a better cut, in order for it to come out moist and falling apart. The cut I got recently came out dry, but my husband loved it anyway. I just thought it was ok.

Everything had such a good taste. I put veggies in the slow cooker first, then the roast salt and peppered and with bay leaf. I also thickened the sauce a little afterwards with a roue, as we like our gravies a little thicker.
