Yummiest Green Beans Ever

Submitted by: USKHILLS
This dish was created out of boredom with plain, average green beans! It's sweet, tangy and savory...and my kids absolutely love it! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do! I use leftover sliced deli ham since it is already sliced thin and makes perfect tiny pieces, but leftover dinner ham would be delicious also!

I like the tangy taste of these green beans. The combination of flavors enhances the beans, and the colors make this side dish an attractive addition to any entree. -Chet Sioda, Tacoma, Washington

I learned how to make this while visiting my husband's family in Syria. It can be a healthy, fast, easy vegetarian/vegan main dish for lunch or dinner that is surprisingly filling when eaten with pita bread, or it can be a flavorful side dish.

I whipped this together for my wife one night and she keeps asking for it! It's a simple dish to make. The tamari and almonds go great with the green beans. I do not like green beans, but tend to enjoy a couple sometimes.
