I liked the suggestion of changing the quantity of oil to 1/4cup oil and 3/4cup applesauce. Very helpful and yummy suggestion. Great recipe, will make again !

Way too much baking powder!!! While it gave the muffins a very light texture - more like popovers than muffins, it also gave them the metallic/soapy taste and bitter aftertaste of eating straight baking powder. I won't bother even tweaking this, just look for another recipe.

i wanted these to be good but they turned out so bad! all i could taste was the oil! i dont know if it was something i did but i was sure i followed it exactly.. maybe not so much oil i see others tried applesauce. i dont know it just seemed to be missing something.

I'm so sorry but these by far were the worst carrot muffins I have ever tasted. I followed the recipe accordingly and they turned out so dry and bland that I threw them out after baking them. They had no flavor, horrible texture and didn't even resemble a carrot muffin. I can't even say anything to improve them.

I wish I had read the reviews/really looked at the recipe first. SO MUCH OIL. I nearly gagged when I measured out one cup of oil. I just took them out of the oven. They taste OK, but are sitting on a paper towel..and leaving oil marks. Will be using an applesauce substitute next time!

I.WORSHIP.THIS.RECIPE. I ditched the raisins though, not being a big fan of 'em. Instead, I added chocolate chips and salt was a definitely no-go

i really wish i would have looked at the reviews for this recipe before printing it out and making it. i followed the recipe exactly and even tried to modify it after reading the comments but it still has an unpleasant bite to it.
