My mom always made a broccoli casserole to take to potlucks and such, and after much searching, this is the recipe! It's still yummy even now, and it has a very homey, comforting feel to it. One thing we do differently however, is spread a layer of breadcrumbs over the cheese. It just helps to make a nice little crust.

The mayo in this recipe is what turned me off. If you like mayo then you will love this.

This was great! I made it to take to my Aunt's for Thanksgiving dinner and received raves from all 4 Aunts and their families. Will take this to Easter get together as well since I was "ordered" to bring this to every gathering!

Great recipe; however I made a few changes. I added rice, a little extra cheese and topped it off with the fried onions. Everyone loved the dish. It's one that I will definitely make again.

This was a bit too rich for me and my wife. I did have a good flavor, and it definitely would make a nice side dish for a potluck.

My husband and kids LOVED this. Even my 3 year old asked for seconds. What is so unique about this recipe is that it is so good without the usual high carb cracker/bread crumb topping that is called for in almost every broccoli casserole I've seen and/or made. I added a can of drained mushrooms and used Cream of Chicken Mushroom condensed soup instead of Mushroom. It also needed more salt and pepper which I adjusted according to my family's taste. Thanks for a keeper recipe !

Stacy, thank you so much for posting this recipe. It REALLY is awesome. I made a few changes. Instead of 1 cup of mayo, I used a little over 1/2 cup of sour cream. I used fresh brocolli only because I happened to have it. I'm sure it would be the same with the frozen. I will use frozen next time. I also used monterey jack cheese and crushed some low sodium ritz crackers for the top. I also sprayed butter flavored pam on top of the crumbs. I want you to know that this is the best brocolli I have ever had. Thanks again.

I am always looking for different ways to prepare vegatables, so I was excited to make this recipe. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I thought it was much too greasy and wasn't that impressed with the flavor. Personally, I think regular broccoli and cheese is better and easier to prepare. But, my mother-in-law loved it and said it deserves it's 5 star rating, so I'll meet her halfway and give this a 3.

This was so good. Had to change a few thing for lack of ingedients on hand...Used cream of chicken instead of mushroom and onion powder instead of onions...Also I added about 2 cups of cooked rice...Was sooo yummy. This one is a keeper. Also, I used the full amount of mayo and it was great, not over powering at all...dont be afraid...use it! I almost forgot..I only used 16oz of frozen broccoli, any more and it would have been way too much... Thanks for the great recipe
