Made this dish tonight as directed. To many bread crumbs smothered the delicate taste of the scallops. Next time I'll leave the bread crumbs out.

Very good. Our grocery store doesn't carry shallots so i used 3 extra garlic cloves & a small onion--because of that the onion/garlic overpowered. I will try to find a store with shallots next time.

This was just okay. It wasn't what I was expecting. It was mushier than I thought.

This was so simple, yet so good! I usually pan sear scallops, but I wanted something different. I squeezed lemon juice in with the melted butter, used scallions instead of shallots, baked for 11 minutes and they came out perfect. Thanks for a great recipe!

This was good but not great. The breadcrumb crust did not enhance this dish.

This is a good recipe to expand from. I added finely chopped pecans, Emeril essence and garlic powder to the bread crumbs. I didn't use minced garlic or shallots. My husband and I loved them this dish. The scallops were better than any we have had in a restaurant. It took a total of 25 minutes.

It was okay but it was really overpowered by the garlic. I love garlic so this really surprised me. I reduced the breadcrumbs and olive oil by half and this was a good choice. I think this would be a good way to prepare a plain white fish but was too much for the scallops

My Husband is one of the pickiest eaters ever, he likes very few recipes. He absolutely LOVED this recipe! (I don't eat seafood). He said, "It was one of the best Scallop dishes he's ever had!" I didn't vary much from the recipe. Only variations were some I had read from other reviews. I used seasoned bread crumbs and used remaining "garlic marinade sauce" to put around the Scallops in the dish. Like the recipe states, "SPRINKLE" bread crumbs on scallops. Then took some of the remaining bread crumbs and put around scallops, took that from another review as well, worked perfect! I still did not use all the bread crumbs, because I was afraid of it getting too "mushy". One last thing, I forget bread crumbs so the scallops did sit in the "garlic marinade" for about 15-20 min. Don't know if that made a difference or not. Easy to make and very good!!

So very easy to make! I hesitate to make scallops for a weekday meal but this recipe is so easy, I'll make it often.

I usually don't do this, but I did add just a couple things: about 2 tsp. cajun seasoning and 1/3 cup cheese. Delicious! I served it over pasta. Thank you!

I will not make this recipe again, as I thought it kind of bland. Also, the bread crumbs only got crispy on the very top, and were mushy where they were in contact with the scallops. I tried to cook it longer so they cooked more, and it was less runny, but then the scallops began to get rubbery.

three stars, at best. just greasy and lackluster, i thought it hid the tenderness and sweetness of the scallops.

This dish was fine. I decreased bread crumb topping like others suggested & agree it doesn't add much. I put under the broiler for five minutes to make it a little crunchier. Probably won't make again because with the price of scallops, I want a little more than fine.
