Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  2. Place bread on a baking sheet; top each piece with 4 pieces Cheddar cheese.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until cheese melts, about 5 minutes. Cover each bread slice with sliced avocado.

I thought this was just alright. It made for a quick and easy lunch today with some soup. Just seemed like something was missing. It was almost like the beginnings of a sandwich, but the other ingredients were not listed. I have mashed avacado with a little garlic salt and put it on a tortilla. That worked for me. Maybe, it was the cheese with this, I don't know. It was an affordable lunch anyhow. ty

I use a similar recipe: Cut, 5" pc. of a TJ's seeded baguette, slice open-toast lightly in a Toaster Oven, or Oven, pull out, and spread Avocado, sprinkle a tad of lemon (or not), (1) slice of Harvati cheese, split to cover both baguette halves Toast until cheese is melted to desired texture Himalayan Salt, and Ground Pepper Yummy...eat 3-4 times a week for Breakfast...

I made this with Parmesan, although I doubled the bread and cheese because the avocado was large. And there was still a lot of spread for 4 pieces of bread. This made a great breakfast or lunch because it kept me full for a long time.

Perfect combination of flavors. I eat a lot of avocados and toast but I never thought of combining the two. I will be making this toast again. Thank you Sarah Ruiz.
