This tart came out great! I also doubled the topping and used melted butter instead of cold butter. The only change I would make would be to add more apples and less crust, but it still tasted good the way it was!!

This turned out really well just as is. I don't agree with using less apples. Use all of them to retain the "apple" in Apple Tart. The topping is good stuff--not too sweet, little crunch, just perfect! I doubled the topping too and sprinkled till all apples were covered. Yum, yum. The only modifaction I plan to make in the future (and I DO plan to make this again, and again) is to use a little less crust. It was a bit thick for my taste. But good none the less. You did a great job delivering a recipe that works well the first shot:)

I have used this recipe many times, and I always get rave reviews! In fact, my family don't let me use another apple dessert recipe at all!

This was okay. I made a similar recipe years ago from one of my grandma's cook books...it was amazing! I thought this looked close enough. It wasn't quite the same. I followed the suggestions of others and doubled the topping. That was a good suggestion. The filling was a little bland. Next time I think I'll mix in a little lemon juice, cinnamon and brown sugar. It wasn't really a bad apple desert...it just wasn't fantastic. I'll put it in my recipe box until I find something better.....

I've made this tart 4 or 5 times for my family, a work function, and a friend's potluck. Each time I get rave reviews and the tart is devoured in no time. I find that 6 apples is way too many. I only end up needing 2 or three depending on the size. This is a very quick and easy recipe that impresses everyone.

This apple tart was very delicious! I loved the arrangement of apples and the topping tasted fantastic! The only thing I didn't really like was that the crust got a little overdone and tasted kind of like a crunchy biscuit. I personally added a little lemon juice to the apples (to keep them fresher and give it a little zing!) and used brown sugar in the topping instead of white.

This tart is beautiful and delicious! A perfect autumn treat. The crust is rich and buttery and is a great contrast to the tart, yet sweet and spicy apples on top. The apples and topping basically caramelize while baking and the final result is mouthwatering! I used 6 medium apples and had a lot left over (maybe 3-4 would have been enough), but perhaps I didn't layer them thickly enough.

Beautiful tart, I only got to taste a sliver at the function I brought it to so I really need to make it again to see if I like the taste of the tart.

Good pastry, can be rolled out on lightly floured board. Let rest in tart pan while preparing filling & topping, made 2x topping for 12 in tart pan. This is a keeper!

This is GREAT! It is very easy to make and tastes so good. I made it with some extra topping because it is so good, and I love the cinnamon. I even used margarine because I didn't have butter on hand, and it still was great. A really good recipe, and I will definitely make it again!
