I tried it with a variety of vegetables, which was really good, but this recipe is definitely better if you serve it hot.

This recipe is amazing! I even omitted the green pepper and pickle relish and it came out wonderful. This is a great chilled asparagus side dish that is full of flavor. I like my asparagus extra crunchy, so I didn't steam it as long. I also decreased the oil, increased the lemon juice and used red onion to make it more asthetically pleasing. I will make it again and again!

Wonderful flavor. The only suggestion I would make is to use an ice water bath for the asparagus after the steaming. The ice water immediately stops the cooking so asparagus doesn't get over cooked.
