Wow, what flavor! I followed the tips of others and reduced the olive oil. I added 1 TBS. fresh ginger and 1 heaping TBS. of chinese chili sauce. It was great, I will be making this again.Maybe next time I will try and grill it, Heat up the sauce and glaze the salmon while grilling. Can't wait it already sounds good!

Would have given this 4.5 stars if 1/2 stars were an option. Followed fellow posters' suggestions: doubled marinade, reduced olive oil, added fresh ginger, reduced baking time to 15 minutes in marinade and broiled for another 7 (w/o marinade). Overall, delicious!!! I used a brown rice mixture, seasoned with thyme/sage and cooked in 1 cup each of chicken broth & water.

This is one of the best preparations of salmon I have ever had. My husband, who is very picky, raved about it. I think it tasted even better the next day. I did not make the dill rice, but the salmon and sauce had enough flavor to compliment plain brown rice.

mmmmm! The sauce is perfect for 2 people and I like that it is quite different from other's I have tried. I didn't make the rice, but I did follow the advice of others and cut the oil in half and I broiled it the last 5 min. and it worked perfect!

I have been making something very similar for years and it is delicious. My recipe calls for 1/2 cup honey if you don't use rice wine vinigar and brown sugar and red pepper flakes instead of dill and black pepper. Can make as spicy as you like.

This was an EXCELLENT and EASY recipe! My whole family thoroughly enjoyed it - including the 15 month old! We doubled the sauce ingredients and omitted the dill, since I am not a dill fan and used a ginger-garlic mix instead of plain garlic. It was absolutely wonderful! Will definitely make again - and again, and again!

Delicious. You can easily cut down on the olive oil though, as the sesame oil provides enough 'oiliness'. Also, try it with a simple side dish of leeks sauteed with ginger and - towards the end - sprinkled with orange peel and some OJ. If you liked this recipe, try also Grilled Salmon with Ginger-Orange Glaze.

My family loves this recipe! My kids are pickey eaters and they always ask for seconds. I have made this 4 times and every time it continues to be a hit. Also, I always double the marinade so there is extra for the rice.

I make this all the time. If you are going to freeze your salmon place marinate in freezer bag along with salmon.

Very good. I hate fish that tastes fishy and with this recipe it doesn't at all. I also added ginger which adds a very nice touch.

In all honesty, I never cared for salmon at all, it always came out bland when it was cooked for me. My wife loves salmon.I decided to go ahead and put my tastes aside and make her a salmon dish. This was fantastic !! I didn't change the recipe at all except for sprinkling the dill weed on top of the fish before placeing in the oven instead of afterwards. I have changed my mind about this fish after tasteing the asian recipe. I cook all the dinner meals at home since I am disabled. This definately goes in my recipe binder.

Oh my goodness!! This was phenomenal. My son had told me that he didn't like salmon and he was going to have a frozen pot pie instead. Then, as he watched me putting the marinade together he became intrigued since he loves Asian food. He loved it and ended up literally licking the plate. The whole family loved this and I have put it in my "favorites" category so I won't forget about it. I did follow the suggestions about doubling the marinade and baking for 20 minutes and then broiling to finish it off for about 5 minutes. I made the dill rice using brown rice "Texmati" brand Basmati rice. I also purchased a nice sized piece of wild salmon from Costco that worked beautifully. Thank you SO much for this wonderful recipe.

I do not like asian food or salmon but this was REALLY good. I grilled it, which really gave it a great taste. The whole family enjoyed it. The only thing I did differently was use wild brown rice rather than white. I am deffinatly going to keep this recipe and use it again for salmon. I bet that this maranade would taste really good on chicken too.

this salmon had a really nice flavor. I would double the sauce for sure if you actually want to have enough to spoon over the salmon after it's done cooking. We had enough left for 2 people so it was a tad disappointing. My kids ate it up which is always a good sign. I served it with vegetable basmati rice instead of dill rice simply because I don't care for dill

Excellent! My husband loved it as well. I only used one pound of salmon but followed the measurements for the rest and it came out perfect. Also, I substituted apple cider vinnegar because I was out of rice vinnegar. For the rice, I added dill to my usual rice recipe which includes a quarter tsp of soy sauce, olive oil, and a tsp of cinnamon. I really enjoyed this. It's definately going in my recipe box, I'll definately make it again.

This was very good, but I am beginning to wonder whether marinating salmon is the best way to prepare it. It seems that no matter how long it sits in the marinade, it does not absorb the flavors the way other meats do. At any rate, this cooked perfectly in the prescribed time, but I would recommend cutting the olive oil in half as the marinade seemed a touch oily.
