I followed the recipe exactly and usually don't have trouble with recipes, but this one gave me some trouble. The sauce got way to thick. I suggest doubling the sauce and cutting the starch back. Also the breading fell off in the sauce which also made it seem to thick. The flavor was good though.

I also used more OJ, the juice from half a large orange. I used 2 skinless chicken thighs cut into bite size pieces, breaded, sprayed with cooking spray, and baked at 400 until golden. Oh, and I didnt marinate the chicken, I like lots of sauce, so I used the called-for amt of cornstarch and kept all of sauce for serving. Added some frozen broccoli and served with brown rice. Terrific! Thanks!

I ended up adding a few more tablespoons of orange juice, two was definitely not enough. I have a deep fryer, so what I actually did was make a batter and deep fry the chicken pieces, then used just the directions for the sauce from this recipe. I've tried others not nearly as good. After my tweak to the amount of OJ, this sauce was fabulous!

I loved this chicken. I took the advice and warmed the fried pieces of chicken in oven and then tossed them lightly in sauce with broccoli. I will double sauce next time. Great, yummy and everyone loved it!

Delicious! I will definitely make it again! The only changes that I made were (since I didn't have an orange) took out the orange zest and used 1/4 cup orange juice, and changed the cornstarch to 2 1/2 teaspoons. Excellent recipe!

For all the time i put into this, i will probably not make this again. But it was tasty. The portion size was also a little small, but easily augmented with snap peas and red bell pepper.

If your looking for restaurant quality orange chicken then you've found it. This recipe was excellent. However I did use less sugar,1tbsp cornstarch, and added lemon zest as I did not have any oranges. My family loved this dinner.

I cheated a bit by buying frozen popcorn chicken, but followed the orange sauce to the T. And it was wonderful! My entire family devoured it, a guarnatee to make again and again! Thanks!

This was a fabulous dinner that my family loved. My husband always wants orange chicken, but I was tired of buying the frozen stuff from costco or trader joes. I found this recipe, but decided to skip the flour in order to keep it a bit healthier. I let the chicken marinade 24 hours. After cooking the chicken, I set it aside and sauteed some broccoli and carrots in the wok. Then I put those aside, heated the sauce and corn starch mixture, brought it to a boil, and then added the chicken and veggies to simmer for a few minutes. The veggies quickly took on the flavor of the ginger, which my family enjoyed. I left out the green onions and pepper flakes because my family is sensitive to spicy foods, but the flavor was still fabulous! I will definitely cook this again!

Amazing Recipe! I followed the instructions exactly but added double the red pepper flakes. It tasted like take-out Chinese! I followed some of the advice in the reviews: heating the chicken in the oven while the sauce cooks and adding the sauce last to prevent the breading on the chicken from coming off. This will become a family favorite.

Great flavor! We prefer grilled chicken over fried, so we skipped the breading and frying. Then we steamed broccoli and added it with the chicken at the end. We also omitted the green onion (we aren't onion fans). It was fabulous! Our favorite recipe from this site. Thank you!

I thought this was a very good dish. I didn't use red pepper flakes because I didn't have any.Other than that I followed the recipe to the T. Next time I may alter a few things. I like to use the recipe exactly as is the first time because you never know what you might discover you like. Very good!!

This was ok, but definitely too sweet. Reduce the sugar by 1/4-1/2c if you don't like your dinner tasting like dessert.
