Huh. Not sure what to say...the sauce was almost 'tart'--maybe too much rice wine? Very easy and smelled great but didn't taste as I had hoped.

I made it vegetarian, with sliced eggplant, chopped red peppers, and snow peas. It was awesome.

So I followed the recipe exactly, while everyone liked it here are some things I noticed. First off, my sauce hardly thickened. :( That aside the flavor was tasty enough to not make my 5 year old turn her nose in the air(no easy trick!) Also I would recommend doubling the sauce to avoid the dryness lots of others experienced. This recipe is super forgiving and will accomodate just about any veggie! Sky is definitely the limit so let your imagination run with this one. Finally, I think that it is totally worth looking for rice wine. I had never bought it before so imagine my surprise to see it's sold in single serving sizes in your groceries trusty sushi display. Gotta luv these times!!

Absolutely loved this stir fry. I threw in carrots and mushrooms as well. Didn't have snow peas so I used frozen sugar snap peas which worked well in this recipe.

I subbed white wine vinegar for rice wine. It was horrible! ... I hate it when people review recipes low when they don't follow them ... but I just don't want anyone to make the same mistake ... for this recipe, it would be much better to skip the vinegar all together.

All I can say is WOW! I added a little more ginger, and also threw a bag of stir-fry vegis in with it when i added the snow peas... Served it over Jasmine rice... AND WOW!!! My husband wants to add this to the weekly menu!!! I also used a bottom round roast instead of round steak...

Excellent! I tripled the sauce, and used flour instead of cornstarch for thickening. Served over plain white rice, thus the need for extra sauce. It was delicious! For the wine, I find the key is to use a wine you would drink. I used a decent, though cheap, red wine, and it couldn't have turned out better. This is a near-weekly recipe now!

This was so so good, and simple to make. The only things that I changed were to use green peppers instead of the peas, and ground ginger instead of fresh, because that was all that I had. The whole family loved it. My two year old even had seconds, which doesnt happen often around here. I cant wait to try it with the snow peas!

I don't often feel compelled to rate/review a recipe but this was amazing!! Seriously good, you just have to double the recipe. Stuck to original recipe except that I added sliced green pepper. I was worried because my beef needed more cooking time *maybe cuz the heat wasn't that high?* Anyway it turned out great!

This was a great recipe to add some variety to my 'regular' meals. I probably won't make it very often, but it was fun.
