Artichoke and Crab Spread

"I bought a similar spread at the grocery store a while back, and I thought that I could do it better and cheaper myself. You can use imitation crab, instead of the real thing if you like. I use cooked and frozen artichoke hearts or you can buy fresh artichokes, and cook the hearts up yourself."

Directions

  1. Place artichoke hearts, crab, green onions, garlic, and lemon juice in a food processor and pulse until chopped fairly small. Add cream cheese and puree until smooth.
  2. Pour dip into a non-metallic bowl, and chill for 1 hour.
  3. Serve with crackers or vegetables.

I made this dip for a family function and it was a big hit! It is delicious!! In a matter of minutes the whole bowl was gone and everyone wanted more!!

This was excellent. I added some Old Bay, per other reviwers' suggestions, but I tasted the dip before I added the Old Bay and it tasted great. This one will be used again and again.

This was very good with thin crackers. I used imitation crab, but everything else I stayed with the recipe. Made it for a dinner party and everyone loved it.

Great stuff! I used 6.5 oz of crab instead, but the rest was to the original recipes proportions.

This a great dip, I used shrimp instead of crab b/c it was on sale and only 1 package of cream cheese and added Greek yogurt b/c that's what I had. Still it was a huge hit!
