This was an excellent and easy sauce to put together! The spice was a little hot for our taste, but diluting with about a half cup of crushed tomatoes (and a little extra red wine...) did the trick. Thanks for a great sauce recipe!

Spicy! Great flavor overall - definitely goes well with a huge piece of toasted cheese bread. Definitely is a thin sauce, but the big chunks of tomato balance it out perfectly.

I LOVED this sauce; my husband feels like it is good, but not great. I made it as is the first time, and the second time, I started by frying about 10 pieces of bacon, removed bacon from pan and then used about 1 TBSP of the bacon grease to saute the onions and garlic. Add bacon to the top of pasta at end. DELICIOUS! (also tried the goat cheese on top as recommended by someone else and I think that really finishes it nicely- adds some coolness to the spice)

Yum and bam! Followed exactly as directed except used white wine instead of red since that is what I had opened. Had some kick too it and was perfect!

Changes I made: more tomato paste, added in oregano, used fresh tomatoes from my garden, fresh basil and parsley is a must. Very versatile: you can add pretty much anything to it.

Yum! This was absolutely delicious and really easy. I omitted the sugar and added some salt and it was tangy and spicy - the way we like it. Thanks!

Without a doubt my all time favorite sauce. I make it regularly...exactly as written. I use wheat pasta with it and some kind of protein whether its chicken, sun dried tomato sausages or beef. A true fast food for the health conscious!!!

This sauce was a little too thick for me...but had a good spicy flavor. I will probably look for a different recipe next time.

This recipe was awesome. We also added some spicy Italian sausage and some shrimp. We served it over Angel Hair Pasta and it was delicious. It was also fairly simple.
