The steak was "good" overall, but I'm not sure I would have combined the hot sauce with apricot. It either needs to be sweeter or spicier.

Not for us. The meat was tough, although to be fair, round steak usually is. We just didn't feel that sauce complemented the meat at all - it was two intense flavors battling against each other.
