I made this during the holidays to give as gifts. It was so easy and incredibly tasty. Instead of using 6 cups of sugar, I used 4 1/2 and it was still very sweet.

Amazing receipe. I did reduce the sugar to 1 cup and it turned out wonderful. Better the next day. Used this in plain yogurt and it's great.

Excellent recipe. I used orange juice for liquid and grated some orange peel. Easy to make. Next I will try peaches and pineapple.

When I was younger there was an older woman who would come by and pick apricots from our tree and then come back with a few jars of jam. She did this for 2 years and then that was it. I never saw her again....since then I have always loved apricot jam, but store bought was never the same. The other night my boyfriend brought me some apricots and I thought "why not try and make some?" And since I love pineapple I thought I would try this recipe and it was great! Very easy. I used orange juice instead of grapefruit juice. And when I boiled the apricots (I did peel them before boiling) I used 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 of orange juice because I really like oranges. Pineapple in it's own juice (drained. and i accidently bought chunks. so i just put them in the blender after i boiled them in the mixture for a lil. less time mashing the apricots too.) And I used 2 1/2 cups of sugar since I used more orange juice. I can't say again how good it was. I will be making this again and again! Thanks for posting! =)

Burns very easily..... Next time I would either cook at a lower temp or still constantly which can be a nuisance. Editor's note about pectin isn't clear. My understanding is that pineapple DOES contain pectin that is why it is added to the ingredients.

Apricot/Pineapple was my favorite jam of both my mother and myself. This I had to try. It is superb ! Since I didn't have dried apricots, I used two cans of them. I drained and saved the juice, then added enough orange juice (medication doesn't allow grapefruit juice) to make 1 1/2 cups. I then added only 1 cup of sugar. You MUST try this. Makes about 3-4 cups, and that isn't enough once people start eating it. Better buy extra bread. Superb with toast. I have to make English Muffins tomorrow, to put the icing on the cake. I made this again (2nd. time) this time with dried apricots. Made no difference in my opinion I used 1/2 cup BROWN sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar. You can judge if it is sweet enough. If you wish, add more sugar. Again, I used 1/2 cup orange juice. Just excellent. To soften apricots I used about 1 1/2 cups water. The more I read of this recipie, you cannot mess it up. Add the kitchen sink.

Amazing! I used fresh Apricots and followed the recipe and it turned out great. Maybe the next time, I would use less pineapple and more apricots. Great as an ice cream topping as well.

I don't really like apricots but my wife loves them so I thought I'd try this recipe. She ate a jar the first day and said it was the best she's had. The only change I made was substituting orange juice for grapefruit juice. The recipe didn't specify pineapple in syrup or juice so I opted for heavy syrup. It turned out perfect and is easy to make.
