i felt like something was missing but it was very good. I used reduced sugar apricot preserves, that might have been it. I also added a teaspoon of toasted sesame oil because i love sesame, next time i will add more and maybe some crushed pineapple.

So. I made the sauce in a sauce pan seperate from the shrimp, in case I didn't like it. And glad I did, it was way too sweet. I then added a tsp of crushed red pepper and a tbsp of balsamic vinegar. After the above changes, it was the terrific!! I was sure to write down the changes I made, so I didn't forget next time... My husband he would eat this sauce on anything I put it on! Instead of rice we had curry cous cous w/ peas and carrots. Oh, and this recipe was also loved by my 18month old. The tsp of red pepper was not too hot for her, so if you like things HOT, add more. So, again, cooked everything else the same, just reduced the sauce in a seperate sauce pan. 5 Stars after my adjustments ;0)

Made this yesterday. We loved it. Probably the best we have tasted. The only thing I added was some scallops with the shrimp. My husband is not an apricot person but he ate the whole thing. Thanks for sharing.

Was ok, would not make again. Added a pinch of crushed red pepper & additional soy sauce, still bland.

I like this recipe but as some other reviewers found it a bit bland - I added a dollop of Dijon mustard to give it some zing.

Added 2 tbsp more apricot preserves, only one red pepper Good but kind of bland. Could be really good if we added: cayenne pepper pineapple chunks little more apricot regular soy sauce salt/pepper

YUM, my kids said it tasted like restaurant chinese food (yes this is a compliment)--I added some red pepper flakes because we like a little kick to our food. I also tried with cut up chicken as it was terrific. A keeper

This was a good sauce. I thought it was pretty mild tasting with the shrimp and would probably add some red pepper flakes to kick it up a bit.
