This is an open-face apple pie that 's baked up with apples, and a bit of sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on. When it emerges bubbly and brown from the oven, it 's topped with marshmallows and popped into the oven again until the top is melted and golden.

Apples simmered with sugar and cinnamon.. makes a great sundae topping over vanilla ice cream, or as a pancake topping! Adjust cinnamon and sugar to taste.

With applesauce, this apple crisp offers twice the apple goodness of others. Applesauce, brown sugar and cinnamon are combined, and stirred into sliced apples. The mixture is then piled into a large baking dish and topped with sugar. The crisp is then baked in the oven for one hour.
