My mom made these when I was a little girl. We would love to help her and of course eat them afterward. Dust with powdered sugar, granulated sugar or cinnamon. Delicious!

An inventive doughnut drop something like a sweet hush puppy with the addition of self-rising cornmeal. Roll in cinnamon and sugar, or eat them plain - they're delicious either way.
