Quick, easy, and delicious! The egg wash makes the top nice and golden. I will keep puff pastry on hand in the freezer from now on!

Absolutely fabulous!! Hard to eat just one!! The only thing I found was that I made too much filling, so I just threw it into a leftover pie crust. Next time I will make a little less filling.

This is a great recipe. I used only 3 large apples and a bit less sugar. I also used homemade puff pastry. I really thinned out the glaze and brushed just a tiny bit over so it would give the pastry a sweet taste and a slight sheen. I served them hot out of the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Everyone loved them!

My family ate these so fast, I was lucky to get one! The only changes I did was that I did not soak the slices in water and lemon first. If you work quickly, you're fine and the filling is thicker that way! Also, I brushed the tops with a little milk and sprinkled with sugar before baking. They came out just like the apple farms sell!

I bought frozen puff pastry dough as I could'nt find anything that said puff pastry sheets. The dough was very easy to roll and made beautiful turnovers. I thought the filling would be too sweet with all that sugar, but this recipe is perfect as is, but I made a note to line the baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleaning. I am sure to make these again.

These were super easy to make. The only thing I did differently was cut back on the brown sugar as I felt one cup seemed like a lot. My husband said they were the best turnovers he ever had. :)

These are delicious, but make sure you read over the reviews for suggestions on improvement. My first batch burned on the bottom in 15 minutes and I followed the recipe exactly. The second batch was perfect: I turned the oven down to 350 and used parchment paper. I also brushed the tops with an egg wash and sprinkled sugar over them. I also agree that the apple mixture can get too fluidy, so feel free to drain as necessary. Other than that, these are fantastic!

Great & very easy apple turnovers. I cut the sugar down to 2/3 of a cup & I skipped the glaze as I wanted it to be less sweet. Thanks for the recipe!

The filling was very fluid-y, so i strained the apples before filling the turnovers and then when serving them used the strained liquid as part of the topping. (I reduced it more in a sauce pot while they were cooking and poured it over the turnovers warm). Yummy!

These were really easy and good to make. I followed the advice of others and doubles the amount of cinnamon and put confectioners sugar and cinnamon on them instead of glaze. The best thing about them is that they are not too sweet. Will make these again for sure.

These turned out great!! They were easy to make and I still had lots of delicious apple filling left over for an ice cream topping or more turnovers. I did double the cinnamon though, but followed everything else to a T. Thanks for the receipe.

WOW WOW WOW. I was afraid to make turnovers for years. I tried this recipe and was nervous. This is great. My husband says they are the best he has ever had. He brought some to his friends who work on an apple farm and they keep asking for more. So I keep making them for his friends and they keeping giving me apples from the apple farm. Can't lose with that deal. THANKS

Yum!!!!!!!!! Will definitely make again! I skipped the glaze, but I did brush them with a little melted butter and sprinkled granulated sugar on top before baking. Delish! I did have some trouble with the triangles exploding, but I'm willing to practice getting these right on another round soon. :)

Did it with 8 Gala apples, since that's what I needed to get rid of. Doubled the ingredients. I made it into a long strudel. Next time I should prob. use both sheets (made with Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets) Didn't do lemon bath.

I followed the recipe exactly as directed and the turnovers came out perfect. I didn't add the glaze on top, as I felt that a whole cup of brown sugar inside the turnover was enough sweets for me and my family. Even without the glaze, they tasted great! Brushing egg on top before popping them in the oven definitely helped with the appearance when it was done. Overall, this was delicious. It was not a quick recipe for me, since it took me quite some time to put the turnovers together. Some of them got a little messy but with a little practice, most of them came out looking like perfect triangles.
