Love it! I don't really like fruits with meat but this one is exceptional! I didn't add wine and instead of using breadcrumb,I used oats. I made into a one serving and according to one member, I followed their advice on using the left overs stuffings as a part of the gravy and it still taste REALLY good!! *thumbs up*

I think this deserves 4.5 stars really. I followed this recipe exactly as written and it came out great. The cheese was a bit hard to detect, and I may not have browned mine long enough to get good color, but otherwise this tasted great. Thanks!

Personally I thought the dish was good, friends thought it was great. I did take the advice and add spices I slit the chicken breast instead of pounding and rolling. Also sauteed in about 2 cloves of garlic, used season all and minced onion to season and browned, then instead of wine I used apple juice and no broth.

I thought this was a very nice, easy recipe to make on a weekday. My son loved the filling. He's a hard sell. I adjusted the amounts to accomodate a pkg of three chicken breasts. Makes a great meal! I will make this again.

This recipe was fantastic! I added bacon crumbles to the stuffing, which added some flavor. Also, served with leftover apples cooked in butter and wine and used the pan juice in the gravy.

I made this recipe yesterday for me and my husband and it was delicious. I used BLUE CHEESE which was excellent. Still used granny smith apples, regular bread crumbs and 2-3 tabls of butter for the stuffing and seasoned it with curry, cinnamon, etc. as it can be bland without the seasonings.I used sewing thread to wrap around the stuffed chicken to keep it together. I baked it in the oven at 375 degrees 30-35 min. or until no longer pink inside. Near the end of baking it I drizzled it with the sauce part which was my own concoction: wine, apple cider, cinnamon, brown sugar, and some of the left over applesand some of the drippings from the chicken and caramelized in a pan. I will definitely make this again. I highly recommend that you try the blue cheese to give it a kick. Also: I served this with the recipe on here for balsamic apsaragus which is another excellent recipe.

It was okay but a little bland. I will try again and use some seasoning. My husband thought it was okay.

Great flavor. Next time, I'd use string rather than toothpicks. It would allow smoother browning.

This dish was really good. The other reviewers' tips really helped with adding a little seasoning to the chicken. I too (as another reviewer did) slit the sides of the chicken & stuffed it that way. Next time I may try wrapping. Thanks to those who advised me on how to sub for the dry white wine. I used white grape juice and it was really good. Will defintely make again.

Try using apple juice instead of the stock it will give you a sweeter ending and then you can thicken it with arrowroot slurry and keep a clearer sauce

Really good - wasn't coordinated enough to wrap it so I make the apple/cheese/bread crumb/curry mix and stuck it all on top of the chicken breast, then put it in the oven on 350 for about 45 min - delicious!
