Absolutely love these. I didn't change a thing and they were perfect. I love the way the topping caramelizes and becomes kinda crunchy. They come out very rustic looking and inviting. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed it they made these.

The batter was so thick!!! It was almost like cookie batter! The muffins tasted WAY too dense. I kept checking the recipe to see what I did wrong -- I didn't do anything wrong! Just a horrible recipe!

I followed the directions exactly and these were great! Next time might add the cinnamon and some nutmeg to he dry ingrediants just to taste the difference but other then that would definately make these again! :)

Very delicious. These muffins were moist and the strudel topping was sweet and tasty. I used 1/2 tbsp cinnamon for the topping and added another tbsp to the muffin batter.

Great muffins, and easy too! I followed others suggestions and used half brown sugar, half white sugar, and one teaspoon of cinnamon. I didn't measure the apple, just used the two I had on hand. I will definitely make these again!

After reading the other reviews I decided to add the cinnamon and nutmeg to the dry ingredients. I loved these muffins! The strudel topping really made them great. I already want to make them again.

These came out really nice. I added in half a spoon of cinnamon when I added in the Vanilla Extract. Also I chopped one apple and grated the other. Did half brown sugar and half white. There could have been more apple flavor imo, that is the only reason I gave it a 4 other then that they were perfect.

These were great! To make them a little healthier, I substituted ¼ cup applesauce for half of the butter. I also substituted ½ C brown sugar for white and added a little cinnamon and nutmeg. They were easy to make and very tasty.

I took the advice of others and grated an apple and chopped another, as well as adding 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1/2 tsp of nutmeg. These muffins were fantastic! The flavor was just right, not too sweet, not overpowering in the least. We had them about 5-10 minutes after they'd finished baking and they were divine. Definitely a keeper.

Yummy...the fabulous smell that fills the kitchen is just great. 2nd time made a little adjustment with added 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, 3/4 cup of brown sugar instead of white sugar, double the apples, half-grated n half-chopped Granny Smith. Turns out beautifully and taste great even without toppings. Made into mini muffins, just handy for kids. Thks for a great recipe NMARIEA.

These were fabulous. And, as usual, I made some changes. I peeled 2 apples, chopped one in small pieces, and the other I actually grated with a cheese grater. The grating created an applesauce-like texture. I added about a teaspoon and a half of Real lemon juice, then sprinkled with cinnamon. While that sat for awhile, I prepared the mixture. I up-ed the vanilla to 2 teaspoons, I used half white sugar and half packed brown sugar. I was in a hurry and thought I had totally messed up the topping. I must have put way to much butter in and the mixture was like brown sugar paste, but I dabbed a little on top anyway, and sprinkled walnuts on top. Baked in a large muffin pan of 6 for the time and temperature directed. My husband loved them! They went well with the meatloaf dinner. The next day we each had one at lunch time, and they were just as moist, and so delicious. This one is a keeper!

Topping was great but I was disappointed in the lack of apple flavor after all that chopping.

Made as recipe stated, but did add more apples. Used red delicious and jonamac for flavor. These muffins had no taste at all. Will not make again.

These apple strudel muffins are delicious!! However, what is an apple streudel muffin without spices? I read some reviews and added some teaspoon and ginger (I didn't have any nutmeg on hand), and it went from 3 plain stars to 5!! Plus, I felt the need to add to the name, which now, for me, is "Apple Streudel SPICE Muffins." Haha. =]

My muffins were a little dry. I did sub applesauce for the butter. I think next time I will add the butter and use 1/2 cup applesauce. I HATE dry muffins! I may grate the apple next time instead of having chunks also. I don't know maybe this isn't the muffin for me! Update: I used my dry muffins to make Gramma's Apple Bread Pudding from this site. Wow-so good. Such a great combo. Sooo if you have leftover muffins that are not edible, but not spoiled-make bread pudding with them!
