With applesauce, this apple crisp offers twice the apple goodness of others. Applesauce, brown sugar and cinnamon are combined, and stirred into sliced apples. The mixture is then piled into a large baking dish and topped with sugar. The crisp is then baked in the oven for one hour.

This pie bakes up sweet and rosy pink with its nice mingling of diced apples and rhubarb. The fruit is sweetened with sugar and a splash of cinnamon, and then its turned into an unbaked pie crust. Forty minutes later it 's baked and ready for a dollop of whipped cream.
