When I pulled it out of the oven I thought that I had somehow burnt it. All of the sugar had sort of carmellized to form a very hard shell. Surprising, but not bad. I'm sorry that I didn't cut it and serve it right away. It stuck to the pan even though I had greased it. My boyfriend loved it though, especially with whipped cream.
