I make a very similar recipe that I found in a cookbook called "Noteworthy". I always skip the green onion. I take it to lots of places and it always disappears, and gets rave reviews. I've also substituted mandarin oranges, and they work very well. I use Major Grey chutney, which gives it more zip, but others would work fine. A definite winner recipe.

This salad was amazing, the serving bowl was empty; everyone kept going back for seconds and thirds. I didn't bother with the dressing; I used Emeril's Rasberry Balsmic Vinegrette and I added some sweet Vidalia onion. This is definitely a keeper.
