Had everything on hand to make this cake & tried it for a dining group. It was a big hit! Leftover cake was even more moist the following day. The apple pie filling I used was a "special edition" Caramel Apple Pie I had found at my favorite discount grocery store. The slices were pretty big so I chopped those for the filling. Immediately after glazing the cake I sprinkled chopped pecans on and thought that was a nice addition. Great recipe for a fall dinner dessert! Thanks, so much, for sharing it.

Made last evening for today's breakfast. Hubby liked a lot and it already half gone. Good with morning coffee and bacon. Thanks for recipe.

Easy cake to make, tasted good but I would agree that it is not a coffee cake. I made it with the spice cake mix and the house smelled delicious. Next time I might add some pecan (or other nuts) to it. I also made sure I cut up the apples from the pie filling as the brand I bought had huge slices.

Not what I think of when I think of "coffee cake", but it was still moist and delicious! The apples in the middle make it impressive, but it is so easy to do!

So good. I used the butter recipe yellow cake mix and a can of the no sugar added apple pie filling. I will definately make this cake again.

This turned out great! I used a yellow cake mix and peach pie filling. I love that it is a low fat recipe. I used Egg-Beaters in place of the 3 eggs to cut the fat down even more.
