Well, the ingredients in this recipe pretty much speak for themselves. I mean, you can't really go wrong with bacon, caramelized onions and mashed potatoes. Great flavor combination and I will definitely make this again.

This was a great recipe, but I made a few changes and liked it better. I added buttermilk to the potatoes and apples to get the right consistancy and add a creamy flavor. I also topped the potatoes with grated apple smoked cheddar. It was great!

OMG so good!!! I never thought I'd hear my son say he liked ANYTHING but garlic mashed potatoes but he liked these! I made one change to make it skinnier. I boiled the potatoes and apples in chicken broth and then used the reserved broth to thicken the potatoes (you don't need much so add it very gradually). That way, you can leave the butter out altogether, If you make your own broth it's even better. I served these with Duck Burgundy and it made for a great pair!

I cannot believe more people haven't tried or reviewed these Mashed Potatoes!! Although the name doesn't resonate when you read it, these are hands down the best mashed potatoes ever!!! My husband and I love mashed taters and 2 years ago it was our job to make them for the family get together. When he told me he wanted to make these, I was nervous and made my own batch (my old favorite of garlic & sourcream mashed). Well, needless to say, no one touched my potatoes and all his were gone so fast! It's funny because he NEVER cooks, but this is his speciality and everyone always requests it every Turkey Day & Xmas :)

This was quite good! I only had 1 apple but I could still taste it in there and I loved the little bit of sweet it added (along with the cider vinegar). I had to add some half and half because there really isn't enough liquid to make these "creamy". The bacon also makes it especially good!

These were supprisingly good. I was a little afraid of the apple, but thought it was worth a try. Everyone was really impressed. Served these with pork chops and was a big hit.

This was an interesting combination of flavors and textures and certainly seems like a good idea. However, the recipe just didn't work for us. Thanks for the submission though!
