I did not care for this. Vinegar overpowered the meal. Everyone tried it, but no one ate any.

Easy and delicious! I used one granny smith apple and one fuji apple because I was afraid of the tartness but next time I'll just use two granny smiths, it wasn't too tart. It is perfect for kielbasa/sausage and sauerkraut, or pork chops. Top with a bit of cheddar at the end.

I doubled this and used some granny smiths. I did add extra butter and although these are much different from my regular MP in taste my DH really enjoyed them. I will make this again...i really like them beside pork.

I would never have made these if they hadn't gotten such rave reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. The apple, oinion, bacon and vinegar all mesh to create a lovely variation of mashed potatoes with great flavor. I'm making them for a Thanksgiving get together.

Didn't deviate from the recipe; this is five stars all the way. These flavors are so complementary to each other. You can taste the apples in the background (they don't overwhelm), and who doesn't like bacon, sauteed onions, and just a hint of nutmeg? This recipe is crazy good, wouldn't change a thing.

I would give these potatoes a 10 out of 5 if I could. These mashed potoatoes are amazing. I've made them twice already and my husband is now requesting I design the menu for his birthday dinner around them. I will make them often especially in this chilly fall weather.

Absolutely fabulous. I really wanted to try it so I whipped it out even though no one was hungry, leaving out the bacon. My mother and brother gave it a 9.5/10, but thought it needed to be topped with cheese. I can't wait to make it again :)

My family loves these. We had never had these before and I decided that apples go with pork so I made them to go with pork chops. They are the best mashed potatoes.

DELICIOUS! I made it meatless by frying the onions in vegetable stock, and I substituted parmesan cheese for the bacon on top. I also left the peel on the mashed potatoes (purely out of laziness), made sure to cut them into small enough pieces to avoid huge pieces of peel in the dish. Will definitely make it again!

This is delicious! I followed the recipe except I did not add nutmeg, and I added about 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream. Sour cream would be good too, I think. Try it.
