Delicious! Didn't use all the butter and it was still good. I put limeade over the apples to keep from turning brown (I cut them first then went back later to finish). I used honey instead of maple syrup. SO good!!!

This apple recipe is soooooooo very good. I followed the recipe exactly except that I doubled the topping. I know what you are thinking...but at our home the topping is something we all fight over. I have added this to my sweet hubbies favorite list and will be making again.

Best apple crisp I've ever made. I used Watkins cinna cream sprinkles and apple bake seasonings. After it had cooled I stirred it all up so every apple piece was coated in the oat mixture and the syrup made it all so sticky and wonderful. Loved it!

I let the apple soak in the maple syrup overnight. DO NOT do that! It makes them watery when you bake them

It was really good, my family ate it all up and wanted more. I'll have to make some more soon. Next time I would add cinnamon. I was suprised the recipe didn't call for it. It came out with liquid and I had to spill it out, and then I put it back in the oven.

This recipe is so simple and delicious! i add some nutmed, cinammon, a touch of lemon and if you want to avoid gooeyness just add a little bit of flour. a definite keeper. my bf's mom tried it and asked me for the recipe, and she's a professional COOK!!!

Good basic recipe. Not too sweet. Mine ended up with a lot of liquid - instead of being thick and gooey - which is the way I like a crumble. This has such a very nice taste - will use this recipe again.

Followed recipe to a tee, and at first I was a little taken aback by the maple...but after a few bites I couldn't have eaten enough. This is scruptious!

So good. Everyone loved it...even my mom! The best so far I think. I used granny smith apples, and they were pretty big. Still used the amount asked for, and it came out perfect. Not too sweet or rich, just right. Thanks for this easy wonderful recipe!

I've made this twice, using all different types of apples (whatever I've had on hand.) I also add a sprinkle of cinnamon, nutmeg etc. My two year old absolutely loves this dessert. It's a lovely crumble~quick, simple, and foolproof. Yum.

AWESOME!!! Easy to make. I didn't have regular maple syrup, so I used Red Raspberry Maple syrup I had in my pantry. That combined with whole cranberries, adding a little cinnamon & nutmeg in the topping really made this tasty. I did add a little cornstarch to absorb some of the liquid. I'm going to make for a baby shower I'm attending next week!!!!

Like another reviewer, I also ended up with a lot of liquid in the bottom of the pan. Next time I will mix some dried tapioca with the apples to absorb some of the moisture. Had a nice crumble though. My favorite apple crisp recipe on this site is Apple Crisp II.

A great fall treat! My housemates all loved it. I made this in a gluten-free variety substituing special gluten-free steel cut oats instead of oatmeal. Along with dashes of allspice and cinnamon. mmmmmm!

I just took this to our voting district this morning, and we all had a party. Everyone agreed that this was delicious! I don't love the taste of maple, except on pancakes, but the maple syrup taste didn't come through to me. Thanks so much for an easy, yummy recipe!

I also had a watery mess in the bottom of my pan. Perhaps too many apples? I used 7 small ones becuase I didn't have any large apples hanging around...
