Started making this for dinner because I had all ingredients on hand. Reviews were good so I gave it a try. Then I saw that the OP serves it as breakfast and I got a little nervous but everyone ate it up with sides of green beans and mashed potatoes. Absolutely delicious! Remember to turn down heat once it hits a boil, my coins got a little crispy on one side.

This has become a go-to recipe for my family. A whole bunch of really picky eaters love it. I saute an onion and an apple or two, both peeled and sliced thin. Then I add the kielbasa and let it brown up before I add the remaining ingredients in the recipe. Awesome!

This was a nice simple recipe but unless you can come up with some nice side dishes that compliment this dish it really does end up being a bit too sweet.

I liked this recipe because of the touch of sweetness that the sausage has from the jelly and syrup. My husband and toddler also liked this pretty well. The only thing that I would caution people about is that you have to eat this immediately! If you don't (it sat for about 5 min before we ate it) then it gets extremely sticky, and becomes a gooey mess. It still tasted good, just make sure to eat it right after it gets done. Thanks for posting, Joann, we enjoyed it.

This was way to sweet for our tastes. My kids are 2 and 3, love apples and kielbasa so I really thought this would be a great meal for them, not picky eaters, but really disappointing. I did make kielbasa coins for breakfast the other day and cooked them in apple juice though so I pulled one idea from this recipe that I'll keep.

This was super simple and very tasty! I didn't have any apple jelly so I followed another reviewers suggestion and used grape jelly. Came out great. My kid's loved it!

I made this last night for dinner and it was great. I only used half the maple syrup but I think next time I'll just do it like the recipe. The only other thing I did was use a whole cup of apple juice to boil the kielbasa in because we like ours boiled or steamed...not pan fried. I did'nt want it to get crispy. It turned out wonderful and I made mashed potatoes and green beans as the sides. Even my three year old loved it. Easy, cheap and fast!

It's in the 80's today, so I wanted something I could adapt to put in the crockpot. I sauteed some onion and layered that in the bottom of the crockpot, then added a sliced green apple (which I soaked in a little saltwater to keep it from browning), then added in the kielbasa which I also sauteed. I used Martinelli's apple cider in place of the apple juice (that's all I had on hand) and made a sort of thick gravy with the cider, apple butter and maple syrup and poured it over everything in the crockpot. A couple of hours to meld the flavors and we should be rarin' to go. Super easy and it smells fantastic! EDITED TO ADD: This was a hit with the whole family. My husband made a comment about that if I made this next time, I should double it so he could have had seconds. Very good.
