Although I finished the chops in the over (because I thawed more chops than I had skillet space), I found these too be a little too apple-y and sweet. Maybe some more savory seasoning would've cut that down a little, or maybe I just had particularly sweet cider on hand. But I'll probably keep looking.

I made this tonight for my husband who hates trying new food and he thought it was great, even tho he ate the cooked apples by themselves.

THESE WERE AWESOME!!! I browned them on top of the stove first and added all the ingredients and simmered for about 20 minutes. Then I placed them in a baking dish and baked at 300 for about 2 hours. EXCELLENT!!!! Can't wait to make them again!

This is so good the first time I made it, my husband requested it again & again. So we had it 3 nights in a row! He doesn't like onions, so I just skip the sauted onion and apple mixture. Instead I put about 2 tsp of dried minced onions in with the sauce. I also found garlic adds nicely to this dish, so I add about 1/2 a clove of minced garlic. We serve it over brown rice.

This recipe wasn't to my taste. I would have liked it more if the apple glaze was an apple sauce/puree consistency. Having the apple sliced didn't do it for me. That said, I liked the cider, thyme, and rosemary marinade, so maybe I can just do this part next time.

Very nice fall recipe. I made very few changes. I was a little light on the rosemary and thyme since they're not my favorite herbs. I used a local apple cider with lots of flavor and I also added about 1 C. dried cranberries to the fruit mixture. Pork chops were moist and flavor was very good.

I used a couple more tablespoons of brown sugar with the apples. My husband told me that they were the best pork chops he had ever eaten in his life! I agree!

Made it straight as described in recipe - everything cooked nicely, and was nice and juicy... but terribly bland. The only flavor the pork had was a touch of rosemary, and the onions/apples mixture was not anywhere near as flavorful as I'd hoped. Will look for a stronger flavor recipe.

I modified this slightly by not adding the cornstarch. It was extremely tasty. I am going to try it in the crockpot for a more tender pork chop.

We really liked this one. I love the flavor of the onions and apples. I used two boneless pork chops - but I stuck with the original amount of apple/onion sauce and glaze, after reading someone else's comment that it seemed kind of dry. We had some extra apples, but my husband ate that too! I'll probably make this again.

I made this meal for dinner and followed the directions without changing anything. I enjoyed the flavor, but feel the pork chops were a little dry. I will make again, but will make double glaze topping the next time.

I loved this recipe! The apples took a bit longer than 3-4 minutes, though. This was very tasty, and the apples went well with the pork.

This was good, but I changed a few things. I added about 2 tsp. of curry with the thyme and rosemary, and I used sweet (gala) apples (I think it would have been better with a more tart apple, but I didn't have any). My pork chops were boneless and about an inch thick, but the thickness didn't add much to the cooking time, and they turned out moist and flavorful. It went well with Indian Style Basmati Rice (from this site).
