Cook's® brand Bone-in Spiral Sliced Ham, Butt or Shank Portion Ham, or Half Ham
small apple, cored and thinly sliced
orange, quartered and sliced
It came out fantastic. The apple and orange gave it a great taste.
I made this with a Cook's Ham Steak and fresh apples. I liked how the ham glazed, but I'd agree that the BBQ sauce was a little odd with the apples. I'll probably make this again, but I'll try the maple syrup route.
Great flavor, smells wonderful. The "1/4 orange, quartered and sliced" should be rewritten, obviously.
Made this for Easter dinner and it was delicious. I cut the amount of servings down to 8 and I used it with 7 or 8 ham slices instead of a whole ham. Just put it all in a casserole dish, covered it, and baked at 375 for about 20 minutes. The flavor was fantastic. I made this with "skinny scalloped potatoes" from this site and the flavors blended nicely. I will make this again.
Used ham steaks instead, Low broil with the pan in the middle of the oven, very good.
Everyone raved about it, but I think I would put the glaze on earlier in the baking.
