So yummy! I needed a last minute cake for my sons birthday since I ruined the one I had made. I only had devils food so used that, one can of lite apple pie filling, the eggs, and 1/4 cup applesauce since it seemed a bit thick. My hubby who doesn't like chocolate cake raved about it!

Good Cake. I added English toffee bits to the top of it along with the chocolate chips and walnuts and it was very good. Very moist. However, I do think you take the apples so if you don't want to taste the apples, this isn't the cake for you.

This recipe was awesome! I made this for a family birthday dinner party. One relative said, "I dont usually like german chocolate cake but this cake is one of the best I have ever had!" It was all gone by the end of the night. Very simple and easy! It makes the house smell wonderful! We served this with vanilla ice cream.

This cake is great. And moist too. It is so easy to make. Took it to work and they ate every piece. I will make this again. Only thing, I Didn't have chocolate morsels for the topping, so I used white chocolate morsels.And with every bite, it tasted like white vanilla frosting.
