1/3 cup packed brown sugar
6 apples
2 tablespoons red currant jelly
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 1/2 cups white sugar
3 tablespoons apple juice
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie

very easy! I didnt use all the apple juice mixture - I like th flakey part of the crust. I will definitely use it again.

Great recipe. I love serving apple dumplings with cook and serve vanilla pudding poured over them too (warm, of course). You can also add a few spices to the pudding (nutmeg, etc).
Great recipe. So easy. My husband loved them.
My whole family went crazy over this recipe. We usually have to visit a nearby Apple Ranch for their Apple Dumplings which are $5 a piece. Now I can make my own any time I want. I just made them today and already my husband wants to know when I am making them again!
