DELICIOUS! We followed the changes provided in one of the other reviews and they came out perfect. We will definitely be baking these again!

Wow, this is good! Simple indgredients, easy to make, highly recommended. The only changes I made were I sprinkled the apples with butter, cinnamon and a little nutmeg. I also cut the apples into smaller pieces than suggested.

I found that using 4 Gala apples was too much. I had a hard time wrapping the dough around half a diced apple. I think 2-3 apples would be good. It was very delicious, btw. I will make it again.

I halfed this.. I used the new pillsbury bisquit dough that comes in the box.. So I only used 4 bisquit and 2 apples. Also also chopped up the apple as sugessted and sprinkled with sugar/cinnamon.

I, like another reviewer, made with the French Pastry Pie Crust on this site - so good. These end up tasting similar to apple Cinnabons.

I've used this recipe for quite some time but with some minor changes. I cut down on the water. I also put a dab of butter on the apple and sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg prior to wrapping. I good idea for finger food appetizers is to slice the apple into 8 wedges. Use the can of croisants and roll each apple slice in each of the croisants. I roll the triangle shaped croisants out just a tad bit and start with my apple on the wide end of the triangle and roll up to the pointy end. These got rave reviews at my halloween party (we called them witches fingers) and they were easy to eat without utensils.

Wonderful recipe! I too modified the recipe to 1/2 white sugar, 1/2 brown sugar and cut down on the water by half. My whole family loved them. Thank you! :o)

I make this recipe all the time except I use crescent rolls and I pour Mountain Dew over the dumplings before I bake them. Sounds weird, but it is delicious. I have also made them with Diet Mountain Dew and Splenda.

These were awesome with a few simple adjustments: I reduced the amount of water, used half brown sugar and half white sugar, and coated the apples in the sauce before transferring to biscuit dough to ensure the apples would have a lot of flavor. Also, I had some leftovers from dessert last night, and heated them up in the microwave for 45 seconds to make a great breakfast this morning!

Awesome recipe! I used pastry puff sheets instead of buscuit dough and it was fabulous. I also warmed the sauce separately in a sauce panand served it over the dumplings fresh out of the oven. Yum!!

One of the best things I've ever tasted! I cut out the water, chopped up the apples, sprinkled with cinnamon & sugar and turned halfway through baking like others suggested. SOOOO good!!

This is way better than apple pie! The water amount definitely needs to be smaller and also the apples are great diced and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. I also added walnuts and some extra apples... sooo good.

A very easy dessert to make. We found the sauce a little too sweet for our tastes, but I will try again and either cut the sugar or perhaps leave the sauce out entirely. They sure smell good when in the oven, my husband was hanging around in the kitchen just waiting to try them!

This recipe was good, and is a good platform for other creative changes. The sauce was very yummy, although I did make the oj substitutions. Everyone loved them and I will continue making them. Canned pears also work well!

I had to whip up a quick dessert and found this and decided to try it. I am so happy I tried it and so were the group of guys I made this for. I did follow the recomendations and used less water in the sauce and the 1/2c of brown and white sugar. I also covered the apples with cinnamon sugar before making them. Flipped them over after 20 minutes and then poured the sauce for the last 10. It came out divine! The only thing was that 4 apples were way too many. Next time I will only use three. You bet I will be making this one again.

This has become a family favorite. I substitute the full cup of sugar and water with apple juice and brown sugar. Adding a little ground clove and nutmeg gives it nice extra something.

I have been making this recipe for a few years and I am now just rating it. My kids and husband love it. Instead of water, I use apple juice and I add a teaspoon of vanilla. Like other reviewers, I also use half brown sugar and half regular sugar. Great recipe!
