This pie is so easy and so great! Using a mandoline slicer for the apples will make you a star. After the first time I made this pie, I was known as the pie-lady of the family.

My 12 yr old daughter has made this pie twice in the last few weeks without help. It turned out great! Thank you for the easy and great recipe.

I made this recipe on Friday...it was eaten within 2 days and was asked to make it again today! The pie was easy to make and delicious to eat. After reading some of the reviews I also made following adjustments: #1. Bake @ 350 for 1 hr & #2 Added a bit of flour to the sugar & cinnamon mixture in which I added gradually as I tossed the apples. Thanks for the recipe!

We really like this one. The only changes I made this time was to add more apples and tossed cinn/sugar mixture instead of sprinkling.

Great! Just had this warm from the oven for dessert. I added 2 tbsp of flour to the sugar and cinnamon and tossed it with the apples before putting them in the pie shell. It was not runny at all. I will make this again.

It was easy to make, especially since I am not good at making pies. I followed some suggetions and lowered the temp to 350 and also combined the sugar with the apples before placing them in the pie crust. My husband loved the pie so much he asked me to make it soon again.

Perfect! My husband and i made this tonight and, although we forgot to peel the apples (duh), it turned out delish! There is def. some extra "juice" when you cut it, which i'm not sure how to prevent (will need to read more reviews), but it's so so good, you won't mind :) Oh, and we only baked it for 30 min. (gas oven) and it was done.

This is an easy and excellent Apple Crumble Pie recipe. I found this recipe is much easier than making an apple pie as you can skip making a top crust for the pie. I totally used five large granny smith apples for this pie. For the pie crust, I used ‘French Pastry Pie Crust Recipe’ from Allrecipes.com and this time I reduced half of the recipe for making the apple crumble pie. For the sugar mixture for apples, I used ¼ cup of brown sugar and ¼ cup of white sugar, plus ¾ teaspoon of cinnamon and ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg. In order to make sure all your apples get good bit of sugar mixture, you may want to divide sugar mixture in two portions for sprinkling on the sliced apples. I bake this pie for one full hour in 350 degree. Make sure you let your pie chill for at least four hours before you serve. Both of the pie texture and presentation are great and awesome. Thank you so much Penny for sharing this great recipe.

Instead of apples, try this with bananas! They're naturally sweet when baked, so there's no need to top with with sugar. Just cinnamon will do. Great recipe! Makes an incredible crumble!

I usually make two of these each Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner while the turkey is in the oven. I put them in as soon as the turkey comes out so that they're still hot. This pie is absolutely fantastic and great with a bit of ice cream.

OH SO GOOD! I'm not a baker or cook by any means! This was so easy and so good. I took some advice from some reviewers and I substituted brown sugar for half of the white sugar. I also lowered the temperature to 350c and left it on for about an hour carefully watching it. I mixed in the cinnamon/sugar with 2 tbsp of flour and tossed it in the apples first. Turned out sooooo good!!! Will make it for special occassions!!

Baked this pie for the first time over the past weekend for my family. Before placing the apples in the pie shell i mixed them in some of the sugar/cinnamon mixure instead of just one sprinkle as noted in the recipe. Sweetness and slight tartness of Granny Smith made for a very tasty pie. Topping was great as well.

Unbelievably impressive considering how easy it is to make! I threw two of these together for an International Students' Thanksgiving Dinner and the Germans couldn't get enough! I use the prepared pie dough that rolls out and fancify the edges. No one suspects that this baby wasn't made from scratch! Will be making again, again, and again...

Made this a few times, its great! I followed some recommendations of other users: 1) mix a bit of flower in with the cin and sugar. 2) Mix the apples in a bowl with the cin/sug/flour mixture so they are all coated 3) cooked at 325 for ~ 1 hour so that the top doesnt burn and gives the pie more time to cook. Server with Vanilla ice cream and it was delicious!!
