Only changes made were to crumble a few tablespoons of brown sugar on top of the crust and to bake for 45 minutes.

My family and my co-workers loved this recipe. I used 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar as suggested. I also sprinkled in some cinnamon into the topping mix. Should bake, at least, 45-50 minutes as suggested.

This was really scrumptious!!! I will definitely make this again. The only changes I made was to add cinnamon directly to the apples and coat - in addition to the crust. I also added 1/2 c. whole grain oatmeal to the topping.

This was a huge hit at a dinner party, one of my friends, and then my mother in law both told me that their mothers used to make the exact same dish but they called it a "Brown Betty".

Absolutely wonderful! Big hit with the whole family (including my picky 6 yr old daughter and 17 month old son). So easy to make. I slightly increased the ingredients for the topping and replaced about a 1/4 cup of the white sugar with brown surgar and also used a little bit more cinnamon than what was called for. I'm glad I did, it was our favorite part. I did forget to grease the pan, but it didn't stick at all (although I did use a non-stick pan). YUMMY!

Made this last night for the family, served with Vanilla Ice Cream, WOW! I did use brown sugar and white sugar, and also had to add a little more flour. Yummy! It was a little soggy the next day but I warmed it up in the microwave, and it was still really good!!

Fast and good. I've made it multiple times. Best if you use a "pie appropriate" apple.

I've basically made this same recipe several times from directions a neighbor gave me which are more simple plus the topping stays crisp longer. Place apples & water in pan. Pour or pat butter over top. Mix dry ingredients & sprinkle on. DELICIOUS & EASIER!

I think I mixed my topping too much and it turned into more of a dough texture. Still tasted great though! Definitly eat on the first day or it turns to mush.

simple and perfect. as a note, I might add that crumbling the topping ingredients together with your fingers then sprinkling it on top of the apples gives it a better texture. yummy!

Ive been craving apple crisp for a while now, but never knew how to make....Just seemed to complicated with the oates and crust and whatever else you had to do!!!! Well, this recipe should be in the cooking for dummies book, cause it's fool proof and makes a GREAT dish everytime. My family loves it and it never makes it to the next day. Always gone the same night I make it. :) Thx for the recipe

I have made this recipe several times..so easy and really tasty. It keeps in the fridge and can be reheated the next day if there's any left! Awesome with vanilla ice cream. I used 5 granny smiths and instead of 1 c sugar : 1/2 c white, and 1/2 cup brown.

This is a very easy and tasty recipe. I am just a beginner when it comes to cooking but I was able to make this and it turned out nice. The only thing I didnt like was the crumbles on top that are too sweet for my taste.
