wonderful fall dessert. Made with tart apples from the orchard. Doubled the recipe and baked in a 9x13 dish. Served with vanilla ice cream. Everybody at our church group LOVED it! Thanks for the easy recipe.

This was very good. Was looking for a crispy crisp that didn't include oats, this one was perfect, not too sweet or too tart. My ONLY complaint, which really was my fault, was that I stirred the topping too long, so it went from perfectly crumbly to a paste that was difficult to get on top of the apples. It tasted fantastic regardless, but now I know not to stir too much! :-)

This was a really good recipe. It was a perfect base for a little creativeness. My daughter who is 12 made this for company and there were no leftovers. Great recipe!

OMG, this was so delicious and easy. I squeezed some lemon juice onto the granny smith apples I was using.I used home-made salted butter in the recipe, it really does make a difference using fresh ingredients. I baked it for 50 minutes at 350 and it came out perfect. Try topping it with some home-made vanilla whipped cream. So good.

This was great! I didn't change anything and it turned out wonderful. We had to leave it in for more then 40 minutes to get the top to brown to our liking, but a little time change is no big deal. I'm really excited to make this again.

This is an excellent recipe! I had a lot of apples to use up from my father's apple trees and I needed to use them quickly. I made multiple batches of this recipe because we enjoyed it so much AND it is so quick and easy to make that my 6 year old and 9 year old sons did a couple batches themselves. Modifications: I used closer to 5 cups of apples. YOU CAN EASILY USE LESS SUGAR, even with an increase in apples! I also made this a few times substituting honey for part of the sugar.

very good! I made it for my boyfriend and he loved it. Went great after a bowl of chili. I picked this because I didnt have Oats on hand and for simpleness of an 8x8 pan.

My husband and I both agreed that this was probably the best apple crisp we have ever had. Followed the directions exactly and did not change a thing.

I am eating this as I type. It is SO good! It smelled heavenly while it was baking. The hardest part is peeling the darn apples, but it is definitely worth it. I made double the recipe because I had a ton of apples that I didn't want to go to waste. Followed the recipe exactly and I am glad I found one that had everything I already had in the house. I will be making this again and again. Thank you!
