I'm not a fan of warm, spicy drinks andto my suprise, this was a delicious choice to serve to 15 stamp club friends. I tripled the receipe, not adding as many cloves or as much sugar as suggested, poured it all into the slow cooker just two hours before everyone arrived. They loved it! Simple, yummy, I will make this again!

I made this for an open house during a cold and windy winter day. About 2 hours before guests arrived, I simply put all of the ingredients in a slow cooker and set it on low. It was warm and quite fragrant when the first of the guests arrived. Some helpful hints: put the cinnamon sticks and cloves in a handmade cheesecloth "bag" so removing these ingredients are quick and easy before serving; some guests enjoyed a little spiced rum in their cider; store the leftover cider in a pitcher in the fridge so you can pour some into a mug and microwave until warm...very good. Thanks for a yummy warm drink on a cold day!

I used just two-thirds of the sugar called for, used cider, and slow-cooked it on high for 2 hours...mm-mm-mm!!! Perfect for a blustery fall day... 12/13/08 For a party I eliminated the sugar entirely and slow-cooked as before. The cider was gone by the time I thought to get a cup! Everyone swooned over it.

I made this for a fall baby shower, and allthough much of it went to waste because I was too busy running around to even put the stuff out on the table (ahh, what a day!!)...it really was quite delicious. I'd like to make this again next fall/winter when it can get the attention it deserves. 5 stars because I loved it!

This was delicious except I didn't see the need for the sugar so I skipped it. Wasn't missed.

We modified this a bit to fit in our 4 1/2 quart slow cooker, but it was a hit at a recent housewarming party!

This was a hit at our family thanksgiving gathering. I doubled the recipe and used a little less cranberry juice than the recipe called for. It had a beautiful red holiday glow and tasted delicious.
