Directions

  1. Stir-fry cubed chicken breast in 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in nonstick skillet until lightly browned and cooked. Remove from skillet.
  2. Stir-fry onion, carrots and basil in oil in same skillet until carrots are tender. Stir in pea pods and water. Stir-fry 2 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in apple. Add to chicken.
  4. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Excellent choice for a weeknight dinner since it's so easy to prepare. I prefer to use fresh snow peas as they seem to stay crisper. Granny Smith apples are a perfect choice for their tart flavor.

I found this dish to be a bit bland for my taste. But if you are looking for a healthy meal than I guess it's ok. I was dissapointed. perhaps if the dish had a sauce to compliment the apple it would be better

Excellent meal. Really enjoyed it. I marinated the chicken in olive oil, lemon juice, and oregano before cooking it. I also added water chestnuts to it. Great meal. And healthy!

Delicious and healthy! I added a little sweet n sour sauce for just a bit of extra taste.

Good, healthy, but needed more. I poured a little bottled sweet and sour sauce over the mixture after serving - then my 7 year old LOVED it.

I was a little skeptical, but this was great and so different from anything else my husband or I had ever had. The apple added a different flavor note, but it did not overpower the recipe at all.

A great quick weeknight meal. I added some sweet thai chili sauce for a little extra flavour.
