This was really good, but once we reached the middle, I realised that the base wasn't properly cooked at the center. So it needed a little extra cooking time. I made this according to the recipe except that rather than use canned fruit, I used real chopped up apples and fresh cherries. I added some corn starch to the fruit, but no extra sugar after reading some of the other reviews that the recipe was sweet in the first place. All in all it turned out really well and tasty (and a good texture), but was a bit different from other cobblers I've had.

yum! Easy to make. I used fresh peeled apples and a bag of frozen cherries that I had in the freezer instead of canned. I added @ 1 c sugar to the fruit and some cinnamon, vanilla and lemon juice. When I put the fruit on the cake I didn't put all the juice bc i didn't want it soggy. Enjoy!

My daughter made this recipe at school and suggested it for a dinner that I recently hosted. It got a thumbs up from the children in her 5th grade class as well as from my dinner guests. I served this cobbler warm with a dollop of Cool Whip. I found this dessert to be even better the next day when warmed in the microwave. I give this recipe 4 stars, as the cobbler is really not appetizing to look at in the pan. Shouldn't be a problem if you plate the dessert before serving to guests. Will be making this again and again.

Don't know what went wrong, but cake never formed up, and topping couldn't be "sprinkled" because it was more of a paste (using softened butter and blending sort of does that). Flavor was okay, but could have had a bit more tartness...As it turned out could be better as a topping than a cobbler. I'll try again.

Very simple and easy recipe. Tasted very good and people loved it. I've made it three times now. The only problem is that every time I make it the bottom never come up all the way. The first time it came up almost entirely but the next two times hardly at all. Besides that its a wonderful recipe.

I followed the recipe exactly and it did not turn out right. The cake part of the cobbler spilled up over the top and the topping was completely lost in the fruit. It tasted fine in the end but looked wierd.

The cake part at the bottom got lost in all the soupy-ness. The topping tasted fake/sweet. I made this recipe exactly as stated, with zero changes. I will not make this again.

Nice flavor but the cake part was rather flat. I had a hard time telling when it was actually done but cooked it for 50 minutes and all was perfect.

I made this for a party and everyone enjoyed it. The only problem was that we could not taste the apples. I will make this again.

I made this cobbler for a family gathering and everyone loved it. I served it warm with French Vanilla light ice cream. Yum!
