Ingredients

  • 6 cups sliced peeled tart apples
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • FILLING:
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • TOPPING:
  • 3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 5 tablespoons cold butter

Directions

  1. In a 2-qt. microwave-safe dish, toss the first six ingredients. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 8 minutes, stirring once. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar. Add eggs, flour and milk; mix well. Spread evenly over apples.
  2. In a bowl, combine the oats, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over filling. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 6 minutes or until apples are tender. rotating dish twice. Serve warm.
